A Pathway to PLTW Success
PLTW Core Training is a hands-on, collaborative learning experience for teachers that immerses you in the curriculum and challenges you to look at your classroom in a new way. Participants step into the student experience and get hands-on with the activity-, project-, problem-based (APB) learning approach, empowering them to bring learning to life through PLTW.

“This training was awesome in the sense that you literally walk through almost every single activity, project and problem. It has 100% prepared me to teach this in a school setting.”

What is PLTW Core Training?
PLTW Core Training gives teachers everything needed to be able to successfully implement PLTW in the classroom. Completing PLTW Core Training is required to access and teach PLTW curriculum.
Our engaging training provides educators with hands-on experience using actual classroom materials while learning how to effectively deliver PLTW curriculum in ways that engage students.
Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of completion, CEUs, and credentials to teach the specific PLTW unit, course, or PLTW Launch curriculum they have been trained in.
What You'll Experience
Unlike traditional ‘sit and get’ professional development, you’ll experience the coursework first-hand and take on the role of students. In this intensive and interactive teacher training, you will:
-
Receive feedback from your instructor, a fellow PLTW teacher who's been in your shoes
-
Collaborate and connect with peer educators who will also use PLTW in their classrooms
-
Step into the student's role as you explore program-specific materials, equipment, and supplies
-
Learn how to facilitate project-based learning using PLTW's proven instructional approach
“PLTW has the best professional development that I've ever gone to. It is the most in depth, it is the most hands on, it is the most networking training that we could possibly do.”

“The professional development is the absolute best. I have teachers who come back from training and they are energized and it's transformative to their classroom. The training that they go through in PLTW, just isn't a content training, it's an instructional practice that they learn and bring back to the classroom in other classes. I've had teachers who said, "I was going to retire, but now you've got me for five more years."
